Privacy Policy

Plain English, and specific to what this system actually does. Last updated August 28, 2026.

Who this covers

Aleris Digital Marketing builds and manages websites and Google Business Profiles for local businesses. This policy covers two groups: people who visit this website, and business owners who fill in our intake form or become clients.

What we collect from business owners

Nearly all of it is information you type into our intake form, either yourself or with us on the phone. That includes your business name and trading name, your own name, a phone number and email address, the business address, opening hours, the categories and services you offer, the neighbourhoods you serve, price ranges you tell us about, and any photographs you upload.

We ask for this because it is the material your website is built from. We do not invent details about a business, so a question we do not have an answer to becomes a section your site does not have.

If you give us access to your Google Business Profile, we also read what Google holds about that listing: reviews and their ratings, the actions people take on your profile, and how often it appears in search. We use it to manage the profile and to write your monthly report.

Intake links

An intake form is sent as a link with a long random code in it. That code is what lets the form load your answers, which means anyone holding the link can see and edit them — so treat it like a password and do not post it publicly.

Three things follow from how it is built. The link stops working30 days after we send it. We store only a one-way fingerprint of the code rather than the code itself, so we cannot look your link up or resend the same one; if it is lost we issue a new one. And your answers are saved as you type, before any account exists, which is why you can close the form and come back to it.

Photographs

Photos you upload are resized in your own browser before they are sent to us. That step also removes the metadata a camera attaches, includingGPS location — so a photo taken at home does not arrive carrying your home address. We store the resized copy, not the original off your phone.

What we collect from website visitors

If you use the contact form, we get what you type into it: your name, a phone number or email, and what you tell us about your business.

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other websites. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Where it is stored

Client records, intake answers and photographs are held in our database and file storage with Supabase. The websites themselves are served by Cloudflare. Both are third parties acting on our instructions, and both hold the data on servers in the United States.

Who else sees it

Google, because managing your Business Profile means sending your business details to Google and reading back what they hold. Microsoft Bing, for search indexing. Anthropic, when we use an AI model to expand wording you have already written — and only ever your own words, never your contact details, and never to invent facts about your business.

If a referral partner introduced you, they can see that you were referred and how far along your setup is. They do not see your revenue, your invoices, or anything about another business.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Intake links expire after 30 days. Client records are kept for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax and accounting. When we remove something it is marked as deleted and withheld from use rather than erased instantly, so that a mistake can be undone; ask us to erase it permanently and we will.

What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion. Emailari@alerisdigitalmarketing.com and we will confirm within a few days. If you leave us, your domain name transfers to you once the account is settled — it is your business name and it belongs to you.

Children

This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your information, we will tell existing clients by email rather than quietly editing this page.
